This well-designed buckle was made of solid brass way back in 1980 in the USA by Bergamot Brass Works. It has normal wear and tear due to age and use.
Fits a 1-3/4" belt.
Bergamot Brass Works is an active manufacturer in Delavan, Wisconsin.
It was the first commercial maker of modern belt buckles to enter the market in the early 70s. Most of their early buckles featured a brass or pewter plating over a base metal, so not all Bergamot Brass Works belt buckles are made out of brass. They produced numerous retail designs in addition to corporate orders. Bergamot Brass Works also produced buckles for wholesale distributors including Siskiyou Buckle Co. and Arroyo Grande Buckle Co.
